Overview:

I have been to Perennial Virant a handful (well a large handful) of times since it opened. The menu is ever changing and I have had the entire menu for the past month or so and I can't find one dish that disappoints. Paul Virant came in and really created a special combination of elegance and neighborhood feel. It is a place to go to celebrate as well as meet some friends and sit on the patio for a casual night.

herb parisienne gnocchi, crispy carnaroli rice, smoked dietzler farm short ribs, pan-roasted walleye pike, carrots with lemon balm

Overview:

I was at the soft opening and then back again during opening week. I currently have resos for 3 more nights in the next 2 months to take friends. That's how highly I think of this new hot spot.
Giuseppe always does an amzing job with his food, but this menu is something special. I have tried everything except three menu items. My recommendations are as follows (though you can't really go wrong): house smoked salmon, lobster roll, oysters, crab agnolotti, black gnocchi.
For those of you who remember the Tizi Melloul space, it is a complete 180. It is airy and bright with a real upscale seaside feel. Talkiong with Chef Tentori, there will soon be an outdoor seating area to look forward to this summer!

In my opinion, MORE has better cupcakes than Sprinkles. Not only in moistness, but also in creativity of flavors. I have tried almost all of their menu and my favorite that I always go back to are the booze flavored cupcakes. White Russian, Marghertia, Gin & Juice, Chocolate/Champagne...
