Overview:

I have been reading great things about Leopold on Food Mafia so we decided to give it a try. It has a great lounge / restaurant feel. They were pretty booked with reservations so we sat at the bar and we had amazing service.

Their beer menu is incredible, we had one with Granny Smith apples in it and it was very good. We ordered a number of dishes like the oysters and the pierogi's and they were both awesome, the poutine was great, the mussels were another great dish, the ribeye tartar was a recommended dish and it definitely did not disappoint, it was one of the favorite dishes of the meal.

I really like this place and I can't wait to go back, if I lived within walking distance I think I would eat here on a weekly basis!

Overview:

This place is my newest obession for Chinese food. Located in the Whitehall Hotel, it is not somewhere that I would normally go. We happened to stay at the hotel and tried it for lunch and I quickly became a huge fan. They offer great lunch specials for $12 where you can select an entree, drink, rice, and 2 crab rangoon.

I ordered steamed baby bok choy, crab rangoon, steamed pork dumplings, bao with bbq, and green tea. All of it was great. I even ordered a few of the same things the very next day :)

I am looking forward to my next meal here. A great lunch or dinner spot.

Overview:

Balena is a great restaurant. The look and feel of the place is warm and cozy and very inviting. We got great recommendations from both FoodMafia.com and the people sitting next to us. We started with the Cardinale, Negroni, and a Belgium beer made with granny smith apples. All good.

We ordered the Kale salad and the burrata with beets, we loved both of them. From there we had the linguini carbonara and the whole roasted fish. The raw egg on the carbonara really added depth to the dish and the fish was excellent.

Then we ordered dessert (3 orders)! 1 of them was the ice cream and cinnamon donuts and to quote the table "the best donuts ever." The vanilla sundae with chocolate chip cookies was great and the pistachio sundae was also fantastic. One of my absolute favorites was the limoncello. Made in house and quite possibly the smoothest limoncello I have ever had (including when I was in Italy! Everyone should check this place out.

Overview:

I usually eat lunch here, they have some amazing trio options for lunch at a great price. Today I had breakfast, an egg white omelet with bacon, cheddar, and tomatoes as well as fresh carrot juice and a latte. Both menus are great but I probably prefer the lunch menu more because of their lobster salad, incredible!

Overview:

I have eaten on the patio at NoMI quite a bit but I have not eaten in the restaurant. The decor and views are great and we had some pâté that was incredible. We had the burger, fries, cheese board, pâté, and their new cocktails. It was a great dinner all the way around!
