Overview:
I love the casual and intimate space at DiSotto Enoteca! It's a smaller space than I was expecting, and the domed brick ceilings really add to the experience of being in an Italian wine cellar.
Friends and I popped in late for a glass of wine and appetizer (the 1 am weekday/ 3 am weekend hrs are awesome), and ended up with a bottle of red, the white anchovies with pecorino sardo olives and celery, and the ricotta with honey comb. Both dishes came with rustic bread and were great late-night eats!
I look forward to going back soon and trying a full meal, and to enjoy the atmosphere. This place would be a GREAT romantic date spot!
*I went back several times over New Years weekend and love this place even more now. We tried the bruschete with rapini, crispy pancetta, provolone and spicy olive oil, and also with the prosciutto, fontina and salsa porcini (my favorite, like a delicious grilled cheese). We spent NYE here as well and had several glasses of prosecco, a charcuterie plate with prosciutto di parma, finocchiona, and cacciatorini, and a burrata with pesto and roasted tomatoes. Yvonne, the amazing and friendly manager, brought us desert truffles from a local shop as well. It was an amazing place to spend NYE, great crowd, great food, great atmosphere!
Recommended Dishes:
Ricotta with honeycomb, bruschete with rapini or the prosciutto.
