Overview:
We ventured in to Farmhouse a few months ago and I've been remiss about reviewing it, BUT it's worth a review, AND a visit!
We pulled up to the bar on a week night and immediately wanted everything on the menu; we started with the fried Wisconsin cheese curds and the house cured beef jerky, which came with some killer almonds. Everything was solid-we were excited for some more wine, beer, and our mains!
I ordered the chicken pot pie pastie and my boyfriend got the whole grilled river trout. Both dishes were the epitome of comfort food and really well done. I'm a sucker for a good chicken pot pie, and this one was delicious. We ended the night with some dessert that we weren't planning on getting, but the bartender sweet talked us (pun intended) into the spiced fig and toffee bread pudding. Oh my, it was amazing. We also got the milk chocolate pudding pastie pie, which was so dense and rich that we had to take it home to have with coffee the next day! Needless to say, we were stuffed when we left!
I highly recommend popping in to Farmhouse, it's worth the trip!
