- belgium beers
- Food: American Bistro
- Decor: neighorhoody
- Service: Friendly
- Cost: $$$
- Wine / Cocktails: Great selection of Belgium Beers
This is one of my long time favorite bars to eat at up north. It is really good, so it is usually crowded. The food is flavorful and creative. I have a friend who swears by their CB&J [sourdough bread, house-made cashew butter, fig jam & raclette cheese, pan-fried]. I prefer the Duck Ruben or the Steak Frites. But the stars of the culinary show at the Hopleaf are the Mussels,Frites and the Belgium Beers. The Mussels come steamed either Belgium style in white ale or Spicy Curry Thai Style style. You should order with that the frites and a good Belgium beer and enjoy. Once that has awaken your palette, order dinner.
There usually is a wait on busy nights, but that is made easier by the large waiting room on the second floor. You can sit and enjoy a good Belgium Beer while you wait.
