Description: Moonshine website states:... Moonshine is now considered a venerable anchor of the thriving boutique, shopping, residential and entertainment district known as Wicker Park. No selling out, though. Today, whether it is our highly successful weekend brunch complete with DIY bloody mary bar, a convenient casual dining spot with top selling burgers and late-night pizzas, its after dinner music grooves served up by some of the nation’s best known DJs, a good spot (with adjacent parking) to meet up with friends and take in a game on TV, its world-class brewery, steady lunch business or its best-in-the-neighborhood outdoor patio, Moonshine means different things to different people. Come in, put yer ‘shine on and see what all the fuss is about.

"Weak Bloody Mary, Strong Breakfast Burrito"

Overview:

We took shelter in Moonshine for sole fact that they had a parking lot and we were starving for brunch in the pouring rain. Our waitress was a bit slow, but the place was packed for the Spain vs. Italy match. The bloody mary bar was amazing, but the actual drink itself was sort of rough. The mozzarella and blue-cheese olives were a great touch, though. We both ordered a breakfast burrito, which was huge, and it came with rice and beans. It was exactly what I needed for brunch that day and I'd recommend it for a different brunch experience.

Overview:

I was in here on a first date (second bar on the date) and we were almost the only two people in there. Was kinda nice so I could talk to my date. We sat on an old couch towards the front of the bar and as we were sitting there, there was a very drunk guy with a shirt that DEFINITELY didn't fit him slowly passing out on the couch across from us....now, again, we were probably the only other two people in the bar and this guy decided to sit DIRECTLY across from us....weird. We were there for about 2 hours and every time this guy would almost pass out completely, a busboy or bartender would come and wake him, but not kick him out. Was kind of bothersome at first, but entertaining after...really broke the ice on the date, ha ha ha!
