After one bite, Quay automatically became my new favorite restaurant. The food was phenomenal and each dish had the most interesting and delicious combination of flavors. My friend and I also each tried drinks from the new cocktail menu and thought they were incredibly sweet and inventive. I had the 3 In the Afternoon cocktail, a combination of Bacardi Limon and different juices. If you like mimosas and bubblier drinks, it would definitely be a top choice. We sampled a bunch of items from the new menu and, while they were all absolutely delicious, two of them really stood out to me. We had the Ahi Tuna Sashimi, which consisted of wakame (seaweed) and raw tuna on a crispy lotus root with a rasabi roe. I love sushi and thought this was absolutely amazing! I also really loved the Pan Seared Diver Scallops. The scallops were cooked with a veal reduction and paired with a braised short rib on top of a sweet parsnip puree. In simpler terms, it was a taste of very tender seafood paired with a dash of some soul food in the middle. Also, all of the wine pairings were perfect. Trust the server’s judgment and they won’t steer you wrong!
